Through the analysis of the Demand Dashboard and the Disparities Dashboard, you can identify opportunities for your hotel to increase your conversion.
Analyze the users past and current demand in the Demand Dashboard to create a new strategy or improve your current one.
Scenario 1. Availability is lower than number of searches
For dates with no availability you can use the ‘Sold out’ targeting option to show a message/redirect user to a sister property (read more about targeting here)
Scenario 2. More searches than bookings:
Think of promotions/messages for specific searched dates that might convince users to book
Demand is High:
- Increase ADR by adding MinLos (Minimum Length of Stay)
- Increase Price
- Improve Perks for those dates – Cross selling (% discount on other services)
- If you filling up rooms so fast, increase price
Demand is Low:
- Remove MinLos
- Decrease Price
- Add Promotions
- Flash Sales
- Motivate Upgrades to improve ADR at least
- Package rates
- Add non-refundable rates (cheaper rates and money in advance)
Examples of messages:
- Notes
- If the client is searching for 3 nights, the hotel can offer 3x4
- If the client is searching for a festivity (e.g. Christmas, Easter), highlight a note with a promotion only for users doing a search for date range.
- If the hotel is closed for the season, display a note informing the client about the closure
- Exits
- If the client is searching for 1 night, they can display the Saved Search
- If the client is searching for 2/3/4 nights, the hotel should be interested in capturing this client who is leaving without booking. In this case:
- an offer with promocode can be a good a idea
- or an Email Capture message can be a good idea
- If the search price is high, you can also display an Exit popup with a special offer
- Layers
- We suggest using Layers with retargeting for those clients who come back to the page
If your hotel has many disparities and they are real we would suggest activating the Price Match. This is a tool that enables to show a real-time counter-offer shown within the Price Widget whenever there is a disparity.
